10 Free Baby Bootie Crochet Patterns

Crocheting for little ones that are on the way? Or maybe you like to do good deeds, and make them to donate. Hand made baby gifts are by far the best. I have done the foot work of finding the BEST ten crochet patterns for baby booties on the net. Some of these I have tested myself, and some I have tried other patterns of theirs before.

As a special note, I do want to let all of my beginners out there know that if you are making booties for small babies I strongly suggest using baby yarn, all craft stores sell baby yarn and it is the softest thing for baby’s skin. Some of my favorite’s are Vanna’s Baby Yarn, and Simply Soft Caron.

This is a favorite of mine, which I have made several times for friends. They are cute and adorable if you have a baby close to the Christmas season. For girls and boys.

Hightop Sneaker Booties
Cute and fashionable for all ages. I really like how detailed and instructed this pattern is, and for beginners this shouldn’t be too difficult. For boys and girls.

Mary Jane Booties
Simple Mary Jane Bootie pattern with great pictures and instructions. You can always add buttons or embellishments to your booties to make them your own. For girls.

Pirate Booties
Soooo adorable! These pirate booties are well crafted, and cute for any time of year. You can always make these for a girl as well by using pink yarn in the place of white, or making a small bow to put on top of the skull. For boys and girls.

These baby booties are of the traditional nature. They are cozy, and one of the best patterns for newborns. The author also gives some good info on crocheting and what hook sizes you should use for the age of the baby. For boys and girls.
