Noah Webster- (1758-1843) – Noah Webster was born in West Hartford, Connecticut. He was an America Lexicographer who is considered “the Father of American Scholarship and Education. His name is synonymous with dictionary. Noah Webster published his first dictionary in 1806 called the A Compendious Dictionary of the English Language, in 1807 he began compiling the American Dictionary of the English language and it took twenty-seven years to complete.
