Benedict Arnold– (1741-1801) – Benedict Arnold was born in Norwich, Connecticut. He was an American general in the Revolutionary war who later defected to the British. He plotted to surrender West Point to the British, but he was unsuccessful. He then led British forces on raids against American forces. Benedict Arnold was a traitor to his country and he died in England. His name is a byword in the United States and means treason.

Abraham Baldwin- (1754-1807) – Abraham Baldwin was born in Guilford, Connecticut. He was an American politician, patriot and Founding Father; he was a Georgian representative in the Continental Congress and served in the US House of Representatives and the Senate after the adoption of the Constitution.
