It’s time for my 2012 NFL week 15 predictions and picks. The week 15 schedule kicks off with another Thursday night football game. This time Cincinnati travels to Philadelphia on December 13. Can the Eagles rebound and play solid football against the Bengals? I think Philadelphia will put up a solid effort but I think the Bengals will prove too much down the stretch. Cincy takes this one 23-20. Andy Dalton passes for 2 touchdowns and the Bengals get 3 more field goals.
The rest of the NFL week 15 schedule kicks off on Sunday. The Atlanta Falcons host the New York Giants in a pretty pivotal matchup. Will the Falcons continue to play starters down the stretch? I’m assuming Atlanta will do just that in a potential playoff preview against New York. The Falcons win a tight one 26-24.
Matt Ryan finds Roddy White for the game winner in the 4th quarter.
St. Louis hosts Minnesota in a game that probably won’t mean a whole lot outside of those respective markets. The Vikings will get 134 yards and 2 touchdowns from Adrian Peterson but the Rams get the win. St. Louis edges Minnesota 22-17.
Jacksonville heads to Miami for a battle no one outside of Florida probably gives a hoot about. The Dolphins should win this one but the Jags have been more competitive of late. I’ll go with 2 Reggie Bush touchdowns and a 17-13 Dolphins win.
Chicago entertains Green Bay in what could be the division crown. The Bears will be fired up for this one. Can Jay Cutler and the Chicago offense put up enough points to keep up with Green Bay? Or can the Bears defense slow down Aaron Rodgers? This could be a potential playoff preview either way. I’ll take the Bears thanks to a defensive touchdown. D.J. Moore returns a deflected interception for the game winner as the Bears win 27-24.
My 2012 NFL week 15 picks continue with Washington at Cleveland. The Browns could potentially pull off the upset here. I just don’t see their offense keeping up with Robert Griffin. The Redskins win 27-16.
Denver is in Baltimore for a huge game with playoff implications. The Ravens defense will have to show up to slow down Peyton Manning and his incredible comeback season. Ravens get 112 yards and 2 scores from Ray Rice but it’s the Broncos who win this one, 23-21.
Houston hosts Indianapolis in what could be another fantastic game. Andrew Luck has been clutch but I think the Texans will get a little separation in this one thanks to their running game and Arian Foster. Houston wins 35-24. Foster rumbles for 167 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Tampa Bay visits New Orleans in another Sunday early game during the NFL week 15 schedule. The Bucs would love to pin a loss on the Saints but I just don’t see it happening. Drew Brees fires 4 touchdown passes and New Orleans wins 36-21.
Arizona hosts Detroit in a late afternoon Sunday game. The Cardinals struggle early and often as Detroit blasts the visiting Cardinals 33-14.
Carolina is on the road at San Diego. The Chargers are falling apart and Norv Turner might as well throw in the towel. That’s exactly what happens as Cam Newton delivers the game winning touchdown in the 4th quarter. Panthers win 26-20.
Buffalo hosts Seattle in other action. The Seahawks could use a strong road win but it won’t happen in Buffalo. The Bills rise to the moment and beat visiting Seattle 23-21.
Dallas hosts Pittsburgh as the rivarly renews. The only problem is the Cowboys are on their way down it seems. The Steelers get a field goal in the final minute to beat the Cowboys 24-21.
New England hosts San Francisco on Sunday night in what could be the game of the week. The Patriots will go up against that 49’ers defense. I think the bigger issue here is how will the San Francisco offense cope against an improving Patriots defense. New England flexes a little pre-playoff muscle and beats the 49’ers in prime time 31-21.
My 2012 NFL week 15 predictions and picks wrap up with a real stinker on Monday night between the New York Jets and Tennessee Titans in Nashville. I fully expect the Titans to deliver a knock out blow in this one. Titans win 24-9. Chris Johnson runs for a touchdown and 132 yards on national television-even if not many people are watching.
That’s it for my 2012 NFL week 15 picks. I’ll be back in week 16 with another round!
